Bob moved to the Village in 1998 after living in Eureka Springs for 25 years, where he owned a successful general contracting business and completed over 150 custom homes and several commercial buildings. He is most proud of having been the general contractor of the "Flat Iron" building, one of the most photographed buildings in Arkansas.
Bob was born and raised in Spencer, IA. He attended South Dakota State University and Bemidji State College. He served in the US Navy Submarine Service during the Viet Nam War. He and his wife Mary have two grown children and two grand-daughters. His parents are Jim and Nyla Christians of the village.
Bob served as president of the Greater Hot Springs Home Builders Association, is a member of the Hot Springs Village Chamber of Commerce, Hot Springs Village Board of Realtors, Hot Springs Village Razorback Club, Woodlands Presbyterian Church and the Razorback Chapter of the U.S. Submarine Veterans, Inc.
